12:30 – 13:00 Registration

13:00 – 15:00 Concept of Risk Landscape

Participants will be introduced to the concepts of risk landscape. Participants will discuss how to define the ‘initial’ risk landscape of the target beneficiaries prior to any development intervention and to set the priority objectives for the intervention as a ‘desired’ risk landscape of primary beneficiaries. Links will be made with several techniques broadly used to design the intervention logic such as LogFrame and ToC.

15:00 – 15:15 Coffee break

15:15 – 17:00 Setting Strategic Priorities

During this session participants will discuss several dilemmas for development partners:

  • the ripple effect which will result from any development intervention vs. focus of accountability;
  • accountability vs. flexibility of development interventions;
  • collective vs. individual risks.

17:00 – 17:15 Evaluation
